Jhene Aiko - "Stranger ft Jesse Boykins III" (Remix) (Audio)
Peeped this over at www.gfcny.com. Jesse jumps on the remix to Stranger off Jhene's "Sailing Souls" mixtape to give it an extra smooth, R&B twist to it. Check it out.

What I'm Watching: Jesse Boykins III "Back Home (Mermaids & Dragons)"
What a fresh video for a dope jawn from Jesse Boykins III's. "Back Home (Mermaids & Dragons)" is a killer track, featured on Boykins' new project Way Of A Wayfarer available over at jesseboykinsiii.com. The video was directed by Dr. Woo with footage shot by Woo and Boykins on their travels. Like I said, it's fresh. Enjoy. Chea!

Jesse Boykins III "Way Of A Wayfarer EP"
Damn. Get familiar with the new project from the multi-talented Jesse Boykins III. I'm on my second listen. What a smooth and soulful project. Hit play, sit back and vibe out. Chea!
“After my last release “The Beauty Created” 3years ago, I took some time to truly discover my art, my spirit, my voice, my style, my love for life and its mysteries. That journey has taken me around the world, exposed me to various cultures and people, and enlightened and influenced me along the way. “Way Of A Wayfarer” is me sharing with you those moments and those lessons, in hopes that I can inspire you to share your moments and lessons with the rest of the World. That is the only way, the universal way. Much love & many thanks to SoulCulture, Street Etiquette & #PassportLife for taking this journey with me. Schwaza. The visions of a lover thru his travels, in search of his present self.” - Jesse Boykins III

Jesse Boykins III "Back Home (Mermaids & Dragons)"
I've put a lot of Hip-Hop on the blog today. So, let me slow it down a bit with the smooth sounds of the multi-talented Jesse Boykins III. Boykins provides the Gold Panda produced joint from his upcoming Way Of A Wayfarer EP, due out June 30. Solid track. Enjoy.

Mara Hruby "Stereolab (Lose Myself)"
Mara has such a beautiful voice. Absolutely amazing. There is so much passion and soul in her music. I first caught her From Her Eyes project a week or so ago. I'm definitely a fan now. Yesterday she released the smooth and super simple, yet visually pleasing "Stereolab (Lose Myself)" video, shot and directed by Jesse Boykins III with editing credits going to Dr. Woo for Light Up Film. Mara Hruby is a true talent. If you haven't peeped her project yet, please do yourself a favor and check out marahruby.bandcamp.com. In the meantime, enjoy this video. Chea!

Check It: @MaraHruby Has Soul
Mara Hruby has soul. Her music is absolutely stunning. I discovered her sound based on one simple retweet from @JCrillz last night.
I respect his taste in music so I gave it a click. This is one of those examples of how twitter comes in handy musically. Honestly, I think at least once per day you should click a link to some music you're unfamiliar with to discover new things. I don't mean those annoying @ replies folks send you to check out their "hot new banger" or whatever. I'm talking about folks you follow. Many are amazing music resources. In a time where marketing budgets don't really exist, word of mouth is ultimately how you'll discover raw talent and great new music.
Street Etiquette-Sartorial Sounds from LightUp Film on Vimeo.
So, when I saw Mara Hruby name retweeted from a familiar source I decided to give it a listen. That led me to the video above on her tumblr page. The video is a behind the scenes look at Street Etiquette-Sartorial Sounds. The amazing track includes spoken word, tap, rap and singing. It's an amazing production featuring Jesse Boykins III, Mara Hruby, Joekenneth Museau, Joshua Bennett, Theo Martins, Melo – X and Rinaldy Alvarez.
The video led me to track down the actual track. Amazing.
Sartorial Sounds Editorial
“Sartorial Sounds integrates both music and style, two elements embedded in every culture past and present. We think it’s important to remember that everyone is an artist in their own right. And it’s the life experiences we encounter that provoke what we splash on our own blank canvas. We assembled seven individuals to partake in this editorial. The finished product incorporates their individual talents such as spoken word, rapping, singing and tap.”
This ultimately had me circle back to her project, From Her Eyes. Mara has an amazingly beautiful voice with so much soul for a person only in her early 20's. Her sound is melodic. I'm sure I'm not the only person discovering the Oakland songstress at this point in the game, so don't be shy and hit play on From Her Eyes. Mara Hruby has soul.
