Jamie Foxx on Plies

Jamie Foxx open with talking about "I only heard the good records" in reference to Plies music (What good records?) But then he bounces back with calling Plies out for being fake and running from "real n*ggas" and hiding in the bathroom. I said a long time ago that Plies was wack and fake. He's just a gimmick.

J. Anthony Brown - Blame It On The Jackass, Ya'll!

Caught this song on the only radio station in CT that I listen to during Tom Joyner's Morning Show on WYBC 94.3, which claims to play the best in Old School and R&B and they rarely disappoint me. Comedian J. Anthony Brown every Friday murders the hits and this time was no different. The events that happened at the VMAs gave him enough ammunition to hilariously spoof Jaime Foxx's hit "Blame It", auto-tuned and all. Check it out. It's pretty funny.

TELL ‘EM WHY YOU MAD: GTFOH …

BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL: I’d like to file this under “should have never given you n*ggas cameras”. This whole sex tape and nude pictures from celebrities is not really a new thing (insert Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Ray J, Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, etc, etc.) but it seems to be a bit more “leaks” in the last few months. Uh, do you remember the internet being on fire over those Cassie and Rihanna pics? (sidebar: I still laugh when I hear the Cassie and Riahnna tribute song)

Now we’ve got Jamie Foxx (reported that pics were for a movie role) on the scene with his pics (have not seen and won’t look for). Then you’ve got Eric Dane aka "McSteamy" from Grey’s with his sex vid (a threesome that truly lives up to his onscreen character). Things have gotten so out of control, publicity hungry Bad Boy artist Will from Day 26 issued a statement denying fake pictures of himself that surfaced online (that 99.9% of people didn’t even know existed). Will sit your ass down, trying to jump on the bandwagon with some “leaked” photos and then pissed no one paid attention.

My favorite line when pictures or a video is “leaked” is “I don’t know how it got out.” GTFOH, you know how it got out! Someone hacked your gmail? Someone intercepted your text? Come on with the bullshit. YOU DID IT! Someone close to your camp with your permission did it. Why? Truth be told, there is no such thing as bad publicity, especially if the pics and videos are flattering.

Oh and for the record, the picture that popped up of me was a personal picture and I don’t know how it got out. Please respect the privacy of me and my family at this very difficult time while we deal with this picture being leaked. I apologize to my fans if I let you down. Thank you, Q

THE DOG CATCHER: Vick, Vick, Vick, Vick … LET THE DUDE LIVE! To be honest with you, I really don’t care about football and it’s not like I’m a Michael Vick fan. I do however think the nonsense surrounding Vick with people being so pissed that he’s playing football again is ridiculous. You won’t support the Eagles now because he’s playing? Pissed at the NFL Commissioner? GTFOH!

You’re watching Martha Stewart in the morning, huh? Baking a cake from her recipe, right? Oh, she did time too! Oh, because it was a white-collar crime, no big deal? NO, A CRIME IS A CRIME! Real talk, what Michael Vick did was wrong but the man paid his debt to society. Done deal. Case closed. He’s not going to be chilling with DMX, Bow Wow or Snoop any time soon and he’s cleaned his hard drive of any dog fighting porn. I mean the dude did a coached interview on 60 Minutes, what else could we ask for? It’s over.

Michael Vick is a lucky dude to get a gig after getting out of jail. If only more minorities could get gigs after getting out of jail, the world would be a better place.

PACK UP PACKER: While I’m talking about football (again, not a fan) Brett Favre do us a favor and sit your un-retiring ass down! You come out of retirement more than a rapper, Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan combined. Every time you un-retire it’s like a sequel to a movie that should have never been made (insert Final Destination here). Here’s a bit of advice, go coach pop warner football and take a few years off and then maybe come back as an NFL commentator or something. What needs to happen Brett is you need to tell your ego to GOOOOO LOOOONG because enough is enough.

KISS AND TELL: So this dude Terrence (106 & Playground) and Khloe Kardashian (why is she famous again?) kissed. Yeah, this should be filled under, WHO THE F’ CARES! Yeah, yeah, yeah … I’m writing about it but mostly because the aftermath of that kissing nonsense was on some middle school shit. “You know you kissed me first, right?” What?! Grow up with that dumb shit! There were probably twelve-year-old kids laughing at them for that. These cats must not understand the rules of making out, especially when you’re drunk. Shit happens, no need to be debriefing the situation afterward. Go ahead and GTFOH with all that extra nonsense.

What I Watched...The Soloist

I went to the theaters last weekend to see the new release with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. called The Soloist. It's a movie about a schizophrenic, Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie Foxx), a homeless musician from Skid Row, Los Angeles who dreams of playing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Through "chance," he meets a journalist, Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.), who tries to help this mentally disturbed man get "back on his feet" and make his dreams come true. Based on a book by Lopez, an account of his relationship with Ayers. Dr. Oliver Sacks, a famed neurologist, authenticates the Lopez account in his most recent book, "Musicophilia."

I couldn't tell you how many times I forget that Jamie Foxx was in this movie. That's how good he delved into his role. Jaw dropping. Amazing performance by both critically acclaimed actors. This isn't a movie I'd normally see but considering the remarkable cast and incredible and emotional story, I decided to check it out. Amazing movie. The classical music throughout the movie was resonating and blew me away as well. I would definitely suggest this movie to everyone. I'm already waiting for it on DVD.

THE BRIEFING: Terrence Still Upset

Your boy Terrence Howard is still a bit upset about being replaced by Don Cheadle in "Iron Man 2".

He said in a recent interview, "Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice. They didn't keep their word. They didn't honor my contract. They produced a great bounty with the first one but they put it all in the storehouse and you were not allowed in. They did the same thing with Gwyneth Paltrow, from what I've been told. They did it with almost everyone except Robert Downey [Jr.]. One of the things that actors need to learn to do is always stick together, one for all and all for one."

Wait, did he say "One for all and all for one"? Oh, guess dude thought he was going for the Three Musketeers movie. Nah Terrence, this is Iron Man. Good thing he has that blockbuster Fighting out right now! (riiiight). Terrence is falling into that Cuba Gooding boat and just taking whatever roles (both of these guys are talented but after doing some good movies, seems like they just accept any role that their agents sends over).

After reading about this interview, reminded me of that interview with Jamie Foxx about Terrence Howard.

Okay, I Apologize

Jamie Foxx appeared on Jay Leno last night and offered Miley Cyrus an apology for remarks he made on his radio show. I just hate when celebrities apologize just because of public pressure. I know when you're wrong, you should apologize. I think people say what they mean you know and then they back down when the public comes after them. He should have said "I'm a comedian."

Here is what he said on Jay Leno: “Miley, I apologize. I’ll call you. I so apologize to her. This is sincere because I am a comedian and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. Sometimes, as comedians as we do, we go a little bit too far. I have a radio show … we’re really the black Howard Stern. We go at everybody. But, there was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just wanna say I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. I’m a comedian.”

Eh, Too Much?

On his Sirius Satellite Radio Show, The Foxxhole (click to hear), Sunday, Jamie Foxx, 41, lashed out at the 16-year-old Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus. Foxx is getting a lot of heat, mostly from Cyrus fans and parents (see some comments below). Remember that Foxx is a comedian and sure some of the comments were harsh, but sometimes comedy is what it is. One thing I don't want to see is Foxx come out with one of those hasty apologies. I hate when celebrities apologize for things just because of public opinion. How do you feel?

"Jamie Foxx is a dumbass. Miley Cyrus has done more in 3 years than he has in his lifetime."

"Celebrities need to remember that it is the fans that got them where they are in their careers. Jamie, your shrewed comments about Miley Cyrus will not be taken lightly. When you loose your fans, you will loose big! Saying these things to a child (a very popular child with lots of fans) will not be forgotten. Bad move on your part, shame on you."

"WAS I NOT THE ONLY ONE READING THIS.... FIRST OFF BIG UPS TO JAMIE FOXX.. I HONESTLY THINK IT NEEDED TO BE SAID ABOUT HER ITS ALRIGHT FOR HER TO TALK **** AND PUT RADIIOHEAD DOWN AND TRY TO RUIN A CAREER BUT ITS NOT FAIR TO FIRE BACK AT HER SHE WANNA GET IN GROWN PEOPLE CONVERSATIONS LET HER BUT SHE HAS TO REALIZE WHAT SHE'S GETTING HERSELF INTO...."

"Damn why is Jamie being so mean to a little girl? Somebody is jealous...he is still trying to get his music career off the ground..stop hating on Miley."
