"I touch on a few different topics; staying relevant, past delinquencies, why I’m fine with being heard and not seen." -SigNif
I've long been a fan of the Milwaukee-bred, NYC-based SigNif. Even outside of the music, she's still my people. After a brief hiatus away from the music, she returns with the hard-hitting Gee Wiz produced Rocket Fuel off of their upcoming collaborative project, Significant Wizdom II: (Atypical). SWII is due out November 20th through a joint venture with Sig's new imprint Intelligent Dummies and Throat Chop Music. Yeah buddy! In the meantime, enjoy the music. Chea!
"I'm a Pisces and we are most creative when we are in pain. So before I made this project, I asked my girl to break my heart. (dramatization?)" -Gee Wiz
Beats on beats on beats on beats. Check out the latest from Gee Wiz. Chea!
"This project is a culmination of six months of submerging myself into Lindsay Lohan's world. I've seen every picture of her, read every article, every interview and drunk nothing but the stuff she drank (redbull, coke?) This project is the result of my obsession... enjoy." -Gee Wiz
Producer Gee Wiz offers up a 'best of' to hold folks over until his new project, Sewer Music 3, drops. Hit play and enjoy some fresh Wiz production and dope features. Enjoy. Chea!
I don't rhyme but I enjoy the hell out of beat tapes. I really do. Recently the homie Gee Wiz hit me with a preview of his latest Sinsored. I found my head nodding and enjoying the brief preview. Yesterday, he unleashed the full project. "Cheeseburger & a Coke" is definitely still my shit but the full project features a gang of other fresh beats too. Gee Wiz is a pretty talented producer and has been featured on the site a few times, most recently as the producer behind Signif's latest offering. The dude is fresh. Dig in to Sinsored and enjoy.
It's always a good day when you receive some new music from Signif. The NYC by way of Milwaukee emcee teams up with her familiar producer, Gee Wiz, and delivers up another banger by way of Wish Her Well. Enjoy the track and look out for the S.I.G.M.A.T.A video off their Significant Wizdom project. Chea!
"The EP is more aggressive, in-your-face. It's about me standing my ground as a female emcee who refuses to back down even when confronted with adversity." - SigNif.
SigNif has been on the blog more times than I can remember. Her sound is dope and I've long supported her music.
I've been hearing bits and pieces of this Gee Wiz produced Significant Wizdom EP over the last few months and I'm happy to finally hear it in it's complete form and share it with all of you. Gee Wiz does his gotdamn thing on the production and SigNif delivers more of an aggressive flow on the new project. Having worked together on SigNif's The Transition, the duo take that chemistry to deliver eight dope tracks. There should be no doubt that SigNif is formidable emcee after hearing this project. Enjoy the hell out of this. Chea!
I told you that Signif wasn't going to rest. Just 18 days into the new year, Signif unleashes a bonus track off her upcoming project Significant Wizdom with producer Gee Wiz. After starting the year with the Darren Cole directed “Lovely Imperfections” Signif returns with "Box of Sigarettes." She definitely delivers on this track. Her flow aggressive and the beat fresh. If this is a bonus track, I can't wait to hear Significant Wizdom, which is due to drop soon. In the meantime, enjoy. Chea!
Signif x Darren Cole. I could end what I have to say there because what they create together is so dope (this is the third video with Darren behind the lens for Signif). The two team up again to bring you a fresh video for Signif's "Lovely Imprefection." Darren is a talented director/editor/dj out of Milwaukee spending time between there Boston and NYC right now. And Signif is a regular on the blog, having been featured countless times and last year she released what I considered one of the strongest projects of the year. Her album The Transition is the gift that keeps on giving. The video is a pretty strong way to start the year for Signif who has a new project on the way produced by Gee Wiz. While we wait on that, check out the video for now and if you're unfamiliar with Signif, check out my interview with her. Chea!
New music as promised from Signif. The track is dope and is off of the upcoming Gee Wiz produced EP, Significant Wizdom. Look out for that dropping last December. In the meantime enjoy "What Matters". Chea!
The homie Gee Wiz hit me with this cut from Dro Pesci that he produced. The rhymes and beat are both dope. Gee Wiz is crazy on the production tip. Check out the track and this recent interview with Gee Wiz.
"The #1 Junkie" is a great beat tape from the homie Gee Wiz. "Make U Disapear" is my favorite cut. Go ahead and get a taste and then download the full project. Enjoy.
