Dag Savage - "E&J" (Album Stream)

Exile is an incredible producer and with what Dag Savage brings to the table lyrically, there's no second guessing whether this album should be introduced into my Hip-Hop music collection. No doubt indeed. Peep the entire album here and then make sure you cop it after!

After bringing you classics like Blu and Exile's "Below the Heavens", Fashawns "Boy Meets world" and more.. Exile Does it again with his latest album teaming up with Dirty Science Rapper Johaz under the name DAG SAVAGE for their debut album E&J. With features from Blu, Fashawn, Aloe Blacc and more, this future classic is a must have.

Interview: Miss Special x Exile

Our West Coast ally Miss Special (or Miss Interview around these parts) caught up with Exile and talked about The Ecology with Fashawn, new Emanon project, Jay Electronica, Miguel and more. Another solid interview. Hit play and enjoy.
Last week before his show at 330 Ritch with Blu, I got to chat with one of my favorite producers, Exile. We spoke about the craziest thing he ever sampled, his second album with Fashawn "The Ecology", a new project as Emanon with Aloe Blacc and a Dag Savage project (including a free mixtape beforehand). We also spoke about working early with Miguel, his phone call with Jay Electronica, and his fascination with the radio.

Exile Interview on Sunday Night Sound Session

The homie DJ Hyphen hit us up with an email and link to the download for the Exile interview from his Sunday Night Sound Session show. Exile is a real dope producer and he's got a lot of new exciting projects in the works. He talks to Hyphen and co-host J. Moore about his past up through his present with producing. It's a real interesting interview. Check it out.

From DJ Hyphen about the interview:
A little while back, Ex came through Sound Session to talk all about his latest opus, Radio, an album crafted entirely out of sounds culled from his home radio. He detailed the creative process behind the project and how it gave him a deeper respect for radio in general. He also talked about his crazy live MPC sets with DJ Day, how his family influenced his music, his upcoming Boy Meets World album with Fashawn, a follow up to Blu’s Below The Heavens, and the 2892412931 other projects he’s got on his plate.

Nat King Cole To Blu & Exile

Here's another old to new I'm posting for your musical pleasure. Again, Nat King Cole's When Sunny Gets Blue is such a classic in itself. You can distinctively hear the sample at the end of Blu & Exile's Blu Collar Workers. They put a very creative twist to it in my opinion. I love both. Check it out...

What I'm Listening to Right Now... Blu & Exile

Boy, I can't rhyme but if I could I would freestyle over this track right here. It's so mellow and chill. It's a decent day outside (finally) and with a cup of coffee next to me, I'm vibin' with "You are now in the clouds" from Blu & Exile.
