What I'm Watching: The Rising Sun Quest - "I'll Rhyme Now"

New video by the homie Rising Sun Quest teaming up Elasticbrand on this "Audiowear" project. Visuals are simple, clean, to the point, which all equaled dope in this equation. Peep it.

The third music video from a multidisciplinary creative project called "Audiowear", that started with 3D printing and ceramic slip casting musical jewelry at the sundaymorning@ekwc artist residency in the Netherlands. It then evolved into a full length record with 14 original songs that we pressed to vinyl with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. The record was celebrated with a concert at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York City on 9.22.11 where 10 of the artists performed their songs live. the Museum of Arts & Design [MAD] also acquired the Audiowear pieces for their permanent collection and will show them in two exhibitions in 2012. The work was also shown at exhibitions in Korea, England and New York.

Roc Doogie - "Micro Management" (Prod. Dirt E. Dutch)

"Roc Paper Scissors" is finally here. I've seen Roc Doogie perform several times and have heard him on tracks on albums he and his other group members of Phenetiks released. I've been in anticipation for a full project from the homie and judging from what I've heard previously as well as this track "Micro Management" produced by the skilled Dirt E. Dutch, this album is sure to be an amazing journey into that style of Hip-Hop that will get your neck sore and your hands in the vertical direction. Check out the single and then do yourself a solid and cop the entire album. Word.

Although he’s put out several releases with his four-man crew Phenetiks, Roc Paper Scissors is the perfect re-introduction of Roc Doogie as a solo artist. He has selected a handful of his closest cohorts laid down the production for the album, including Deto 22, Dirt E. Dutch, Defnyshn, and JK1 the Supernova, who also makes a guest appearance on the track “Yardie Funk”. The only other guest appearance comes from his partner The Protege on the album opener “Cycle”, which also includes the rest of the Phenetiks crew, with DJ SirCumference on the cuts and Deto 22 on the beat. Ten tracks in total, with an array of moods from track to track.

Dirt E. Dutch "Let It Go" featuring Kyle Rapps

Check out this new joint by Dirt E. Dutch featuring an MC Q and I bumped into a couple of years ago at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. Sounds like he continued right where he left off on the mic. Read up on Dutch's upcoming release and then make sure you check out the record. Dope.

Wasting little time since his January release Hit the Dutchman,  and his May release with Infinito 2017, Without Permission, Dirt E. Dutch returns with his third collaborative LP of the year fittingly titled Bars Magica. This time he presents a handful of some of the most artful writers the underground has to offer. Combined with custom tailored soundscapes produced by the Dutchman, each song stands strong on its own. No soundbyte filler. No excessive chatter during beginning or end of the tracks. The beats and the lyrics weave a spell powerful enough to keep the listener charmed throughout. Featured appearances from Kyle Rapps, Breez Evahflowin, Rabbi Darkside, Atari Blitzkrieg and more. Bars Magica will be available digitally September 13th, and physically September 20th, 2011.

Track list:
  1. Let It Go ft. Kyle Rapps
  2. Who Figured ft. Roc Doogie
  3. Yesterday Is For Suckers ft. Sketch Tha Cataclysm
  4. Programmed Slaves (Redux) ft. Infinito 2017
  5. Fire To The Frost ft. Atari Blitzkrieg
  6. We Can't Lose ft. Doron Lev
  7. Nowhere Fast ft. Rabbi Darkside, Core Rhythm
  8. Together ft. Hawl Digg, Dutchman, Breez Evahflowin
  9. Status Quo ft. Super King Armor, Tah Phrum Duh Bush

Check It ... Infinito 2017 and Dirt E. Dutch - "A Place Called Truth (Remix)" (Audio)

New Dutchman remixed single from Infinito 2017 and Dirt E. Dutch's album titled "Withoutpermission". A Place Called Truth is definitely a destination we need to get to if we haven't yet. Infinito 2017 is giving his insight on how to do that on this track.

"Withoutpermission" available now at UGHH (bit.ly/py4pJF) and iTunes (bit.ly/nYBMz6)

Released 26 July 2011
Lyrics: Infinito 2017
Beat: Dirt E. Dutch (Dutchman

The Album:
Withoutpermission is an organic, free-spirited call to action which encourages the listener to always remain aware of one’s self and surroundings. The message in Infinito 2017’s lyrics remains consistent from track to track, essentially reminding us all that greatness comes from within, and you cannot exude that greatness until you have first found yourself. There is plenty of fabrication being displayed in today’s hip hop music and imagery, but no one creating this music can hold a candle to the artist that speaks from the heart, and dares to formulate a song from his own designs. Dirt E. Dutch’s soulful production lays the rhythmic setting, while Infinito paints the soundscape, with an array of enlightened writtens, cadence shifts, and occasional freestyles. The title suggests that you create precisely what you want to create. You say what you feel, and you make it sound the way you want it to sound. Never let someone tell you that you cannot do something a particular way. Greatness is never achieved with permission. The true artists create, Withoutpermission.

Check It ... Breez Evaflowin' - The Best (Dirt E. Dutch Remix) ft Core Rhythym, Infinito 2017, Freestyle, Rabi Darkside, Homeboy Sandman & more!

Here's Breez Evaflowin' off his latest album with a track titled The Best, remixed by a talented Dirt E. Dutch and it features an amazing line up of guests. Read the story behind the album and check out the track at the end.

AS HE GOES ON...
IS THIS THE LAST WE WILL SEE OF BREEZ EVAHFLOWIN?

With his last album receiving rave reviews for the way it dealt with the angst of dealing with personal and artistic transition, Breez Evahflowin's newest album As He Goes On... set for release on October 12, 2010 reveals the mature MC: relaxed, confident, and wise. If the last album outlined the personal battles facing Breez as an MC, his newest reveals the aftermath. Unpretentious, at peace with his status as a mature artist ready to leave the game, Breez delivers his closing argument. The verdict? As He Goes On... is the last testament of an MC. It's a title which alludes to the passing of a life.

In an interview with UGSMAG.com Breez acknowledges how he has changed during the course of his career. Coming into the scene as a combative battle rapper, he is leaving it as a songwriter who makes music "from a 38-old, for people in their 30s and maybe people in their 20s who understand what I’m talking about." If a person's music reflects their life, then As He Goes On.... reveals the changes of growing older, ultimately opening the door to the final transition. In As He Goes On... Breez steps through that door with no regrets.

Check It ... Expertiz - "Before Life Concludes" (prod. by Dirt E. Dutch)

Dopeness. Antfarm Affliates continue to supply us with some dope Hip-Hop. Check it and leave your thoughts.

The Bridgeport Brawler Releases the Dirt E. Dutch Produced Single Off His Debut Album.

Album:
Balance, depth and intensity are at the core of the debut release from Expertiz, Disrupting Nature’s Balance. The 22 tracks move effortlessly throughout, each standing on it’s own as a separate pieces of a complex poetic puzzle. These ideas and concepts are his alone and shun the languid conventions of “radio” hip-hop. Expertiz wears his heart on his sleeve while lacing paragraphs littered with density throughout the project. Whether spitting fire like that found on “Let’s Be Clear” questioning Darwinism as found on “Weave Through Worlds” or looking within himself to find answers such as “Before Life Concludes”, the album has something for all avid listeners of classic hip-hop. With production by some of Connecticut’s finest producers, including Deto-22, Dirt E. Dutch, and Defnyshn, the music serves as a perfect compliment to the array of lyrics shown by the host emcee. Guest appearances include Hawl Digg of Workforce, Roc Doogie of Phenetiks, Rising Sun Quest and Breez Evahflowin.

Background:
Coming straight out of Connecticut’s much heralded super-group the AntFarm Affiliates, comes Expertiz, with his debut album Disrupting Natures Balance. Expertiz has crafted this opus with precision, leaving no stone unturned as he troops through the jagged terrain on a landscape that only he could present. The anticipated release represents the culmination of years’ worth of sacrifice and commitment to excellence from this up and coming emcee. Expertiz is a one man army on a mission. Merciless on the mic, he has spent over a decade constructing an arsenal of creative and intelligent lyrics summoning scientific images, unconventional historical episodes, cultural commentary and an oral attack on a flurry of unsuspecting victims. With unyielding verbal skills, it may be surprising to note that this seed was planted in Bridgeport, CT, a working-class city an hour north of New York City. Though residing a relatively short distance away, the influence of New York City is evident when listening to DNB. Expertiz is driven by love for hip hop. Unsatisfied with the current state of hip hop and driven by a passion for the genre and culture has been the stimulus for creating DNB. His songs have been featured on mix tapes and local compilations and the word is beginning to spread within Connecticut hip hop circles, a buzz that is certainly welcome.
