On the Crown (Dominique Larue x Savant aka Stanstro) - "The Crown" (Prod. by Severe Beats)

New music is on the way from two talented artists combining their skills into a group they're calling "On The Crown" with this new single. Good music right here.

The DJBooth.net premiered "The Crown" is the first release from Dominique Larue & Savant aka Stanstro under the moniker On the Crown. The result of Savant’s unexplainable fetish for tandem rapping, and Dominique’s unwavering affinity for Severe Beats production, the banger ultimately illustrates just how formidable a pair they are on the mic as their skills are showcased both singly and in tandem through trading lines at one moment and tongue-twisting solo bars at the next. DJ Inform supplements Severe's string-sampled groove on the wheels of steel.

NEW RELEASE: The Cranberry Show "Paranormal Karaoke"

I've either come to fully appreciate their sound or The Cranberry Show have grown more within their music. I've always liked what Young Focus and Arcane did with their music. Their sound has always been bold, creating the music they liked and believed in. But I've always said that the Milwaukee duo delivers music that's an acquired taste but sonically they've done something special with their DJBooth and DonutsAndMilk.com backed project that is unlike any of their previous projects. I dare to even say, this is their finest work to date and if you weren't paying attention to them before, you should press play on Paranormal Karaoke. I have a feeling you might enjoy this one. Chea!

Jean Grae "Cookies or Comas"

Yeah, I kind of shut down operation today when Jean Grae released her DJ Drama hosted and DJBooth presented mixtape earlier. I wanted to sit back and enjoy it with minimal interruption. So, I updated the blog and then hit play on the latest from Jean. I've been enjoying the project ever since. Jean shows why she's lyrically one of the best on the mixtape ahead of her Cake Or Death project due out this fall. All. Bars. Everything. Geez Greasy. Download it. Oh, and remember it’s comas and not commas. Ha! You’re welcome. Enjoy. Chea!

DJBoothTV: Interview with Marsha Ambrosius [Video]

Marsha Ambrosius- DJ Booth.net Interview from Hot Mop Films on Vimeo.

Shouts to DJBooth.net, DJ Z, Nathan, Hot Mop Films and Jacques Morel for the fresh interview with songstress Marsha Ambrosius. Recently she sat down with Jacques for a DJBoothTV interview. Check it out above.
Throughout the early-to-mid 2000s, Marsha Ambrosius was a staple of the urban music game, melding hip-hop, neo-soul and poetry as one-half of duo Floetry (co-founded with Natalie Dee). While the Liverpool-born singer-songwriter has been flying under the radar since the group's 2007 dissolution, concentrating her efforts on a handful of well-received street albums, she was by no means done with the mainstream – she was simply waiting till the time was ripe to make her grand re-entrance. Now, that moment has nearly come. On Late Nights and Early Mornings, "The Songstress" is back like she never left, showcasing a “sensual, sincere and seductive” sound sure to resonate with today's R&B listeners. Complete with Booth-approved lead single “Hope She Cheats on You (With a Basketball Player)”, the project is set to drop March 1 via J Records

In the exclusive video interview below, Marsha Ambrosius sits down with DJBoothTV's own Jacques Morel to discuss the genesis of the album's title, her creative control over the project, and how she managed to enlist the elusive Lauryn Hill on the songwriting tip.

Yet another offering from Miami's own. Always got great music, never disappoints me.
With the October 12, release of their sophomore studio album, Stuck on an Island, fast approaching, up-and-coming live-band crew ¡MAYDAY! have hooked up with DJBooth.net to give fans a taste of the island life on new mixtape Lords of the Fly.

Joining Bernbiz, Wrekonize, Plex Luthor, Gianni Cash, LT Hopkins and Nomz throughout Lords of the Fly are Cee Lo, David Banner, Mack Maine, NORE, STS, Ghostwridah, Devin The Dude and more.
