Director's Note - "As a multi-media artist coming from a back ground in performance and video art, the first time I heard L'Orange's "Need You" I was struck with the songs dichotomy of beauty and melancholy.I wanted to create a world, a universe where this song could live and breathe to reveal and tease out the tension of these themes . The gorgeous ebbs and flows of the song partnered with the rhymes of Blu push the boundaries for the possibilities for imagery. With the amazing space of Murphy's Ranch practically in my back yard I was inspired to develop a post apocalyptic Adam and Eve story that again would play off of the themes of beauty and melancholy. What I'm Watching ... Blu (@HerFavColor) - "Your My Boy Blu"

Despite the accidental (or not, haha) spelling error in the title of the track, Blu has solidified his standings in my list of Hip-Hop MCs since teaming up Exile in "Below The Heavens". 'Her Favorite Color' is back with a new track in which the chorus uses a sample from the movie Old School and from De La Soul's Ego Trippin' (Part Two). For simply those two reasons, I am already a fan of this song. I'm digging this video. Check it.

Lets Make The Next Krush Groove

If they made Krush Groove today, who would be featured in the flick? The 1985 movie featured heavy weights like Run DMC, The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, New Edition, Sheila E. and so many other cameos.

Let me throw out a few heads that would be dope in the newer flick … Little Brother, The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Meth, Redman, KRS-One and Dead Prez. Maybe even feature cameos from heads like Kanye, Blu, Oddisee, Murs, Pharoahe, and Drake. I’m going to even throw Raheem DeVaughn, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Mary J. in for good measure. The cast possibilities are endless. What are your thoughts? Who would you throw in the mix?

Obviously, a classic is a classic and no need to recreate but how dope would it be to have another legendary hip-hop flick. I think we could use one. Just think of that soundtrack.
