Hartford, CT – June 30, 2012 – MIC ON DECK Entertainment will be holding the 860 Anthem video shoot and showcase at Sully’s Pub, located at 2071 Park Street in downtown Hartford, CT. The new song “860 Anthem”, brought to you by DotGotIt.com, is collaborative effort of eighteen of Connecticut’s talented underground hip hop artists. The track was produced by DJ Sherm Larock of Wasted Talent and Underdog Religion.

The show will be hosted by DotGotIt.com, and features DJ Sherm Larock on the turntables. There will be live performances by “860 Anthem” artists Autobotz, Asylum Lifetime, Timmy Wiggins, Marvalyss, Muggsy & Rockoleone. The eighteen CT artists in the "860 anthem" video shoot are: Blacastan, DJ Sherm Larock, Asylum Lifetime, Blak Flag, Autobotz (Source, Jetfire, Optimus Prime & Ultra Magnus), Timmy Wiggins, Correct 100, A.T.V. (Rah Bigelow, Prime Time & D.W.I.), Muggsy, Rockoleone, Twyce, Marvalyss & Smoov Jones. It will be sponsored by DotGotIt.com, Mind Power Entertainment, Jace Media, Bucket Fresh Studios, iBattle WorldWide, TheMadBloggers.com and Scout Promotions.

MIC ON DECK will be celebrating the birthday of Laina Reed at the show. This is a 21+ event with ID, $7 cover and $5 for ladies. Check It ... Asylum Lifetime and Sherm LaRock - "Political Asylum" (Album)

If you don't know about Asylum Lifetime and his producer Sherm LaRock, get to work. This Hip-Hop duo out of Connecticut has been putting in hard work for some years now and is easily noticeable in their latest effort titled "Political Asylum". This gritty project includes features by other CT residents in Blacastan, Correct 1, ColomBeyond, and more. Production off this album is reminiscent of the mid 90s, in my opinion, with lyrics that compliment them. This album is one that's unique to what I hear coming out of this state and one you might appreciate as I do. Check It ... Enter The Cypher - 5th Year Anniversary (Pics & Vids)

Enter The Cypher celebrated it's 5th year anniversary last week with an amazing line up of some of Connecticut's Hip-Hop acts. Once again, Cousin Larry's in Danbury, CT held the event, which is scheduled every 3rd Friday of the month, at its local yet eccentrically decorated bar.

Every Enter The Cypher starts off with anyone willing to freestyle on the mic for the crowd. The usual mainstays participated giving the crowd an appetizer before the main course was served.

As the night went on, so did the acts. Performing song after song, the crowd remained entertained and energetic and you can tell from the performances that the artists fed from that just as well. Othello and Nemesis Alpha did a great job hosting the event bringing a bit of a comedy and Hip-Hop mix introducing the acts as they went on.

The Connecticut Hip Hop Underground Show Presented By BigBar Radio

I was told about this Hip Hop show by the homie Duece Bug via email that was going down in Ansonia, CT presented by Big Bar Radio and ended up having a pretty decent night there discovering some artists I previously heard of but didn't get the chance to catch up on. I was doing what I normally do which was chill in the background assessing the artists, crowd and the vibe. Felt like a real chill spot where most heads knew each other. I took a bunch of damn pictures but these are the few of the 200+ made the cut. I also added some music of some of the artists that I can find online. Check out all of that! Peace.
