Apollo Brown & Ras Kass - "Giraffe Pussy" feat. Royce Da 5'9", Xzibit & Bishop Lamont

This is going to be yet another dope project coming out of the Mello Music Group umbrella. Apollo Brown is guaranteed incredible and hard hitting in the production area and Ras Kass is a veteran beast on the mic. They added Royce, Xzibit, and Bishop to this track and made it that much more explosive. Can't wait for "Blasphemy".

"Today the fresh team of Apollo Brown & Ras Kass are joined by a legendary cast of Royce The 5’9”, Xzibit, & Bishop Lamont. The new single, Giraffe P*ssy, brings together the distinguished MCs to showcase their abilities over sixteen bars a piece. The vocalists get high over an Apollo Brown beat, who’s filtered tone and syncopated bounce will have your head nodding as high as..."

Verbal Kent - "Underrated?" (Apollo Brown Remix)

Apollo Brown puts his twist on this Verbal Kent track that has just been upgraded from its already impressive level. Check it.

Detroit producer Apollo Brown brings in the dramatic late night ride remix for Chicago emcee (and Ugly Heroes brethren) Verbal Kent. Download: Trek Life "Wouldn't Change Nothing"

With free albums as dope as this, it sure does make it much easier for me to ignore a lot of these other projects folks try to pass off as music. Trek Life doesn't disappoint on this 14 joint album. There's no complaining about the drought of good music on my end as long as I get music this good.

California vet Trek Life is ready and set for his upcoming album with producer Duke Westlake to hit the scene, but before we get into the new album, MMG thought we ought to share "Wouldn't Change Nothing" with the people. WCN is the complete 14 track album remixes of the Oddisee produced "Everything Changed Nothing" featuring new versions produced by Apollo Brown, Audible Doctor, Has-Lo, Slimkat78, Oddisee, and Duke Westlake himself. Get the free download of the entire "Wouldn't Change Nothing" project and then get ready for more news on the new upcoming Trek Life album due out in April!

Apollo Brown & Guilty Simpson - "Parkour" (Bonus Track)

"I vow to never hustle backwards / Don't ask me if I heard another rapper. Fuck 'em all!"

Guilty Simpson is that dude. Bonus track here further solidifies his stake as one of my favorite albums of the year. The combo you get with Apollo's production and Simpson's commanding flow is not to be messed with.

Apollo Brown & OC - "Prove Me Wrong" (Live From HeadQCourterz Radio Rip)

OC is back with his dope, lyrical, poetic, deep style of flow on a track produced by the highly talented Apollo Brown with "Prove Me Wrong" which debuted on DJ Premier's Sirius Satalite Show. OC's upcoming album will be produced by Apollo Brown so I know it's one of those "already bought" type of joints. I don't have to think twice. Check this track and listen to what I'm talking about.

Boog Brown - "Detroit" (prod. Apollo Brown)

This connection between Boog and Apollo on this track sounds so damn effortlessly mesmerizing. Boog Brown is easily creeping up on my list of adamantly admired emcees with every release she puts out or is on with Apollo being on my similar list for producers. Gotta love it when dopeness like this is free. Listen, download, and bump it.

Boog Brown is getting ready for a big 2012: she just dropped her full length remix project The Brown Study Remixes; has a free birthday party planned at 529 in Atlanta on February 9th w/ yU performing live; had her first vinyl 7" dropped today, January 17th; is releasing her debut album with Apollo - Brown Study - on special edition vinyl in March; and is about to record a new project with famed West Coast fOnkateer Georgia Anne Muldrow that will be out this fall on Mello Music Group. To ring in the year though, Boog is giving away an all new track she & Apollo Brown put together titled "Detroit."

What I'm Watching ... Suave The Ape - "Time Passed Autumn" and "Philosophy"

Caught this on my Tumblr timeline and I let it go time after time after time. Then one day, I decided to click play and I gotta say I'm pretty surprise. I mean, I didn't know what to expect at all but I'm pleasantly surprised. This joint sounds pretty good and having Apollo Brown produce the track is always a good move in my book. But yeah, now my ears are open for this dude. I'll be checking out his future work. Take a listen.

Daily Bread (Hassaan Mackey & Apollo Brown) - Night Time [Bonus Track]

Damn, this joint is dope. I can't recall the last "ok" track these folks put out. Listen for yourself.

Apollo Brown is about to hit the road to tour Europe with The Left and Oddisee, but before he leaves Apollo linked back up with his Daily Bread cohort Hassaan Mackey. Together they've created a new non-album bonus cut to hold us over until Apollo is back stateside to put in more work with Hassaan. The new track is titled Night Time.

Apollo Brown & Hassaan Mackey "Megaphone"

I just featured this  Apollo Brown & Hassaan Mackey track from their album Daily Bread Monday on Hip-Hop Breakfast. One of my favorite cuts from their project. Today, to celebrate their album being available on Vinyl, which comes with a free bonus 45 that includes two remixes, they decided to unleash this track. Dope. Enjoy. Chea!

Daily Bread "Elephants" (Oddisee Remix)

Hassaan Mackey and Apollo Brown's new project is full of dope tracks, created by a fresh emcee and producer combo. At the same time, Oddisee has a solid project in his new instrumental album Rock Creek Park. Down with the same Mello Music Group crew, Oddisee provides a remix to Elephants, which will be featured as a bonus on a special edition 45 record due out on FatBeats 9/13. Solid track. Cool remix. I dig it. Enjoy. Chea!

Hassaan Mackey & Apollo Brown "The Trenches" (Apollo Brown Remix) feat. Sean Born

Mello Music Group gives you a lot. Constantly pushing out dope music. And pushing out that dope music is a pretty easy task considering the talent they run with. A few weeks back Hassaan Mackey and Apollo Brown released digitally and then via a physical copy their joint project, Daily Bread. And with that project they've offered up a few free joints to the people along the way. Again, they return with more free music, this time featuring Sean Born on "The Trenches" remix. Another solid joint from a dope emcee and producer pair. Enjoy. And if you dig it, cop that album. Chea!
