TMB x 100 Akres Presents: The Soulstice feat. Signif "FYI" (Maxi Single)
TMB x 100 Akres. It's a beautiful thing. Chea!
FYI is a digital single from The Soulstice featuring the Milwaukee bred/NY based lyricist, Signif. One half of the Soulstice (Rob Yung & Ross Munroe) handle the verbal work over a FreshNerd produced track which samples a hypnotic Jazz horn riff over neck damaging drums.
The release is delivered as a digital version of a 90's style CD single offering remixes and instrumentals from longtime 100 Akres collaborators Juels (Los Angeles) and Handbook (UK) giving their own unique spin to the song.

The Eddie Murphy Beat Tape
Another solid offering from FreshNerd, this time taking on Eddie Murphy's solo album. I've been vibing to this joint on and off since it dropped yesterday. Sit back and enjoy some solid beats and some classic comedy. Chea!
This was a bit of a challenge to say the least. For those of you that have not heard Eddie's debut album 'How Could It Be', its a treat. The way he goes from gospel driven tunes to "Party All the Time" with Rick James is magical (Stevie Wonder even co-wrote several songs on here)....which leaves one to wonder if Eddie was serious or not with this release. Either way, he couldn't escape FreshNerd's chopping board.
Not only did Fresh chop the sh*t out of this record properly turning each song into a forehead bangin' beat, but as well some clips from Eddie's classic standup 'Raw' and some explicit bars to start off the tape from Orlando up and comer (originally from Michigan), Joose.

Download ... The David Bowie Beat Tape
More great beats from 100akres. Enjoy.
David Bowie's 1983 LP, Let's Dance, gets the 100 Akres treatment this time around. Every song on the LP gets mangled, twisted, and minced for the best 15 minutes of musical niceness you'll ever experience.

Download ... 100 Akres presents "The New Edition Beat Tape"
Interesting concept. Check it out and share your thoughts down in the comment section.
New month = new beat tape. Do you remember New Edition's 1984 self titled album? You know....the one with Mr. Telephone Man, Cool It Now, and I'm Leaving You Again. Wait 'till you hear what I did to those plus every other song on that album. No sample is safe, hide your vinyl.
